Arctic Cat HCR M-8. Unbelievable machine!
What kind of modifications do you have to do to your machine to make it dialed for you?
We re-build the shocks, clutch it and off we go, it's an Arctic Cat. It pretty much rips right out of the box!
What do you drive these days?
2000 Ford F-350 and a 2010 Toyota Sequoia.
How do you relax during the season?
I try to eat right, exercise and make sure I am ready for hill climb combat. If you are ready to race and compete you can relax.
What does your training regiment look like?
I ride my mountain bike all summer, water-ski, wake surf and wait for fall. Then more mountain biking, stationary bike training, hiking, lots of core and yoga ball work and perfect pushups.
If you were not a pro rider, what do you think you would be doing?
I would be a powder skiing, powder riding, winter and summer outdoor freak. Wait, that's who I already am.

I really enjoy my test hill and the riding behind my house. Cooke City is a lot of fun as well.

Gary Allen, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Hank Williams Jr., David Allen Coe and the great Willie Nelson.
Who did you look up to as a kid?
Bill Johnson (1984 Olympic Gold Medalist in the Downhill).
What was the hardest thing you had to give up to be where you are today?
I have given up some pretty good jobs to keep on snowmobiling.

I don't have any neighbors and I am able to ride right out of my garage.
What is one thing you wish you could do but can't?
I wish I could carry a tune on my guitar.

Rock/Metal to Hip-Hop, Country to Reggae.
What is your favorite toy besides your machine?
My ski boat.
Was your family into your sport before you?
We as a family all started together. Those were the best years and the reason I still ride today.
What is the scariest thing you have done?
I was a downhill ski racer for 15 years, some days were terrifying and you didn't know if you would make it or end up in the hospital.
What do you plan on doing when you retire?
Hanging out in Baja scouting and pre-running in my Trophy Truck. Getting ready to race twice a year. The 500 in the spring and the 1000 in the fall.
What was your career plan before your current career took off?
I am still a carpenter so not much has changed.
What goals have you set for yourself for next year?
Win as many races as possible and win two more World Championships to catch up to my brother.
How did you originally get involved with Slednecks?
It was the winter/spring of 1998. Jason Moriarty, the late Barry Blaha, Cody Hansen, Ashley Reilly, Cameron Elliott, Dan Adams and I all started pushing each other and filming. The rest is history.
After a major accident or injury, what motivates you to get back?
The love of snowmobiling and all of my fun summer activities.
With all of the advancement of snowmobiles in the past years what has been your favorite improvement?
Also what improvement are you looking forward to?
Electronic Fuel Injection, Four-Strokes and clean burning motors.
What is the best safety feature available now?
A tether! The Avalanche Beacon. I also don't leave the house without my Tek-Vest and my Avi-Vest!
What words of encouragement would you give to someone aspiring to be you?
If it's meant to be, go for it, if the expense outweighs the end result, re-evaluate and just enjoy the free riding.
If you could choose any sport to be a professional at what would you choose and why?
I still wish I was a World Cup Downhill Ski Racer, racing in the Olympics and travelling the world haulin' ass. Ski Racers are some of the best athletes in the world.
What are your thoughts on Evil Knievel?
He was an incredible man and the leader of the Action Sports movement, in the seventies.
What are your thoughts on Robbie Knievel?
He is kind of a dork. I read somewhere he was in a bar and didn't know the guy sitting next to him was Jeremy McGrath. Come on, you don't know who the KING OF SUPERCROSS is! - Dork!
What can you do to keep current riding areas open to the public?
Join a snowmobile club and the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Be courteous to all. Especially those who are not on sleds. Keep your sleds stock. No pipes, no cans, they are for racing.
What's the dumbest thing you have ever done?
I knocked one of my front teeth out on my 21st birthday. Stupid D-runk!
What's the smartest thing you have ever done?
I quit thinking I was going to make money riding snowmobiles.
What are your thoughts on monster trucks?
I wish I had one. Tom Meentz is the man. MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION!
What was the last concert you went too?
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. 2009 Teton County Fair.
Beer or the hard stuff?
Right now, neither. I am staying sober until after the race season. Then, Budweiser.
Do you consider golf a sport?
Kind of. It would be if all of Tigers girls were waiting at each hole.
Do you consider horse racing a sport?
Yes, both the horse and the jockey are athletes.
Mountain bikes or dirt bikes?
Mountain bikes, made in the USA, Cannondale Rize 1. 5" front, 5" rear suspension, 22.5 lbs. It rolls!

Jeremy McGrath-The King!

What's the one thing that could make the world a better place?
Eliminating people and organizations who try to hurt and destroy the United States and other countries that have similar beliefs.
If you could go riding with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
George W. Bush. Because he deserves it and he would appreciate what we all get to enjoy.
Why do you do what you do?
I do it for the love and feeling of power, powder and making it to the top of Snow King multiple times every spring.
