What kind of machine are you on this year?
I have a couple of Polaris Sleds, a 2009 Assault and a Polaris Race Chassis with and 800 mod that I have had for a few years, I am going to get a new Dragon long track. That way I can have a sled for anything from deep days to spring days, and should always have one ready to ride. I always refer to it like my golf bag, just need to have a caddy on the hill.
What kind of modifications do you have to do to your machine to make it dialed for you?
Nothing much really, my Assault I have it piped and handlebars and that's it. My race chassis has just motor mods nothing to the chassis besides handlebars. I have tried to keep my sleds fairly stock the last few years just to show that I can ride them basically right out of the box.
What do you drive these days?
08 Ford F-150, nothing special just a plain truck. It's actually my company truck...other wise I would not be in a Ford.
If you were not a pro rider, what do you think you would be doing?
I wouldn't be doing anything different.

Who did you look up to as a kid?

What was the hardest thing you had to give up to be where you are today?
I have been fortunate enough that I haven't had to give anything up. I still have my career, wife and 6 month old boy. With the role that I have played in this sport I am not required to tour the country. I typically go on 3 or so film shoots a year for Slednecks and Polaris and that's about all of my travels. It helps that I live in AK which is a great place to be able to film and ride.

The same exact thing, just won't have cameras following me around.
What was your career plan before your current career took off?
Currently I run the AK division of a communications company, Integrity Networks, so I have been fortunate enough to be able to further my working career and snowmobiling career at the same time. It has been a juggling act at times but I have been able to keep progressing in both.
What goals have you set for yourself for this year?
Get more time behind the camera, first year in a while I haven't been on the box. So I am definitely focused on a solid Slednecks segment this year.
How did you originally get involved with Slednecks?
Riding with the local film company High Life Films about 8 years ago. This got me recognized by Slednecks.
If you could be any superhero which one would it be and why?

With all of the advancement of snowmobiles in the past years what has been your favorite improvement?
Also what improvement are you looking forward to?
Chassis and suspension has been the best improvement in my opinion. It has been a huge part of the progression of riders too. I am looking forward to the manufacturers getting sleds lighter and fully progressive suspension...
What is the best safety feature available now?
Tether.
What words of encouragement would you give to someone aspiring to be you?
You obviously have to push it to be a Slednecks rider but as the old bush pilot saying goes "there's a lot of old pilots and a lot of bold pilots but not a lot of old bold pilots".

What's the one thing that could make the world a better place?
A big snow year.
If you could go riding with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
My local crew is who I prefer just because in the mountains you need to trust who you are out there with.
Why do you do what you do?
I think it goes back to those Superman PJs with the cape (you know the ones) when I was a kid, just thought I could fly off things.
