How did you get your start in Racing?

I started off on the back of a bike as a passenger when I saw this cool chick ride up on her own bike. I said to myself, "I want to do that!" After I got a bike, I learned quickly and completely fell in love with it. In 2001 I went to watch my first race in Seattle Washington and I got to take my streetbike onto the track for a parade lap. I was instantly hooked and I just KNEW I could race. I came in with a huge grin, a huge smile, "where do I sign up?" It's been full throttle since!

Favorite track to ride?

Mid-Ohio

What scares you the most?

Head injuries and being smashed up, or seeing a friend or fellow racer really hurt.

Your gnarliest scar story?

The worst crash I had was a high speed collision on the front straightaway at Mission Raceway. I barrel rolled down the track and landed in a heap in the dirt with dirt in my mouth, my visor ripped off, dirt in my eyes and a badly broken collarbone. No scars though. My gnarliest scar is on my inner thigh from a stupid little yappy dog that bit me when I was play fighting with its owner.

Who do you look up to?

I look up to people that follow their dreams and make things happen for them. They get out there, do what needs to be done and never loose sight of their dreams!

If you weren't a pro rider what would you be?

I would probably be an athlete in another sport, (snowboarding or mountain biking) a full time coach, or a full time writer.

First thought when you wake up in the morning?

Where am I? What day is it? What do I have to do today? I have to orient myself to what city I'm in, what hotel room, what time zone.

The travel, and trying to find sponsorship $$$, always asking for money or not being able to participate in events because of lack of money.
