If you weren’t a pro rider what would you be?
Who knows? I'm still trying to figure out what I’m going to be when I’m not riding my sled.
Who knows? I'm still trying to figure out what I’m going to be when I’m not riding my sled.
How do you spend your free time?
Working on muscle cars, and hanging out with my girlfriend.
Current sled(s)?
'09 Ski-Doo 600RS, '08 Summit 800 154"
If you could change your sled(s), what would you change?
I usually can't carry enough gas when we ride in the mountains, so a way to carry more gas with out the weight. Haha!
What are your plans for winter 2009?
It seems to change daily. I've been working 12 hour days trying to figure out how to buy my snowmobiles. I'm going to buy a new RS 600, and a mountain sled, and race a couple nationals, and do the X Games for sure, and hopefully some more freestyle. We’ll see how it all plays out…
We know you can ride a sled with the best in the world. Is there anything that you suck at?
If it's not a motocross bike or a snowmobile, I’m no good at it. I can't get out of my own way at team sports.
What was your favorite part in Slednecks 11?
The crash section!
What do you want to see happen this season?
Hopefully some cool freestyle events, and the same amount of snow we had last year.
What do you think we’re going to see go down at this year’s X Games?
I'm not going to try to predict that event; I just hope I have a good showing.
What do you think technology and mechanical innovation is going to change for our sport over the next ten years?
Clean burning 2-strokes, direct injection. That will come soon I think. I think chassis evolution is starting to slow down, just like it did with motocross bikes.
In the event the nut job radicals got their way, how would you feel about riding an electric snowmobile?
I'll be the weirdo 10 years from now, who still thinks my gas-powered 800cc sled is way better, whether it will be or not. You won't catch me dead in an electric car, never mind a snowmobile.
What is your favorite toy (other than the sleds)?
My '69 Super Bee.
What is your favorite non motorized toy?
My Playstation 3, but Jennifer (my girlfriend) hates it.
First thought when you wake up in the morning?
I wish it was Friday!
What do you spend your money on?
I'm not even sure anymore, but it sure goes fast.
What was the craziest thing you did this year on a sled?
I rode a Yamaha!
How do you kill time when you’re on the road?
Read a book, try to sleep, or listen to my Ipod.
What makes you happy?
A sunny day with new snow.
What pisses you off?
When my sled grenades and I’m in a podium position.
What are your thoughts on Jagermeister?
Whoever invented it is a genius.
What is the best part about being involved with Slednecks?
It's the coolest film company out there, hands down. Everyone is like family, and we always go riding somewhere sick.
How did you get your start in snowmobiling?
My dad has been doing it forever, and I started on a Kitty Cat when I was 3.
What trick scares you the most?
I’m not sure yet. I need to do a back flip soon though.
What is your gnarliest scar story?
I was 6 years old and my dad bought me a used Kawasaki KX 60, and I was sitting on it in the garage, and I went to step off and I slipped and the foot peg ripped my knee cap off. So I got to go to the E.R.
Who do you look up to?
Blair Morgan, he is my hero. It made me sick to hear about his injury, and I wish the best to him and his family. He changed the sport of snowmobiling, and I will always look up to him.
What is your dream car?
Any Mopar with a Hemi and a 4 speed.
Where do you see snowmobiling in 10 years?
Who knows, but they better not be electric! I’m going to buy an extra 800 this year and keep it in the box I think…just in case!
Who makes the world’s best burrito?
Don Pedros, promptly followed buy a cold Corona.
Please give us a few words of wisdom…
Just grip, and go!
