Interview
Age: 35
Birthplace: Lowell, MA.
Now residing in: Split time between Steamboat and Pemberton
Favorite Slednecks Film: Slednecks 11!
Favorite Slednecks Product: Covert Op Hoody!
If you weren’t a pro rider what would you be?
I would probably go insane...it's my release!
How do you spend your free time?
Riding moto, mountain biking, learning to surf, bow hunting, fishing.
Current sled(s)?
Ski Doo's. I had 3 XP's last year. I'm still waiting to find out exactly what I'll get this year.
If you could change your sled(s), what would you change?
It's already been done! The first thing I do is change to Fox Racing Shox, RSI Bars, SLY Dog Skis and of course the wrap.
What are your plans for winter 2009?
I will be bouncing back and forth between Whistler and Steamboat again. I'd like to go to Nicaragua after my segment is done.
We know you can ride a sled with the best in the world. Is there anything that you suck at?
I suck at surfing! I've only been a couple times. It's the hardest sport I've ever tried.
What was your favorite part in Slednecks 11?
I'd have to say Geoff Kyle's chute drop. He and I were going to Rock-Paper-Scissors for it but I found the cover shot next to it....
What do you want to see happen this season?
This season we are going to focus on some trips and hitting it hard! Everyone really stepped it up last winter and I'd like to see the bar raised again...If that's even possible.
What do you think we’re going to see go down at this year’s X Games?
I hope to see more flip-combos. I think the young guns have some experience under their belts now and are going to put on a show for the world. Hopefully we don't have hurricane winds again...
What do you think technology and mechanical innovation is going to change for our sport over the next ten years?
Sleds are getting lighter and more powerful every year and will continue to do so. I was nervous making the switch to Ski Doo because they were so light but they're the best sleds I've ever ridden. With companies like Fox Racing Shox, the sleds handle so much better every year. Over the next few years I'd like to see a 4-stroke turbo XP that weighs 450 lbs in a long track. That would be a sick sled!
Who makes the world’s best burrito?
Mount Currie Coffee Co. in Pemberton, BC. Hands down!
Please give us a few words of wisdom…
I never claimed to be wise! I do need to give a shout out to Slednecks, the fans, and all my other sponsors. Big thanks to Scott Borden, Planet Powersports, Ski-Doo, Fox Racing Shox, Bulldog Decks, Ogio, Troy Lee Designs, North Wave, Vision Motorsports, Sly Dog Skis, RSI, and Whistler Heli-Sledder.

What is your favorite toy (other than the sleds)?
My dirt bike.
What’s the hardest part about being a pro snowmobiler?
Breaking bones and the other injuries that come with progression. All pretty much for the love of it!
What do you spend your money on?
Mortgages, my kids and Slednecks the movie.
What was the craziest thing you did this year on a sled?
Probably the drop where I was sliding down to the lip and hit a rock with my ski. It scared the crap out of me. The inrun was way steeper than it looks in the movie! (Slednecks 11)
How do you kill time when you’re on the road?
I had a flip down DVD installed in my truck so I can watch movies while I’m driving. I’m pretty sure it’s legal everywhere I go.
What makes you happy?
My kids, and scaring myself while not getting hurt doing so. I have to be doing something fun or I get bored super fast.
What pisses you off?
Mortgage payments and S#&T Talkers!
What are your thoughts on Jagermeister?
I can do it……if someone else is buying.
What is the best part about being involved with Slednecks?
Getting to travel around the world and have crazy trips with all your bros.
Favorite area to ride?
BC!
How did you get your start in snowmobiling?
I bought a sled in 1998 for ski access in the backcountry. After a few years I was riding way more than skiing, now I don’t ski anymore.
What trick scares you the most?
Barrel Roll.
Your gnarliest scar story?
I have some scars from snowmobiling but the gnarliest scar was when I almost cut my left nut off with an exacto knife. I was cutting some plastic and slipped, stabbing myself 1/4 inch from the package. It was bleeding a ton and it looked super gnarly. I thought I had lost a nut at first. There is a scar. That was gnarly.
What is your dream car?
I like my blacked-out '08 Tundra right now.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A Nursing Home. Just kidding...Surfing in Nicaragua because my body won’t be able to handle this forever.
In the event the nut job radicals got their way, how would you feel about riding an electric snowmobile?
If it's anything like that Tesla electric car I'd be all for it, but if it's like a Dodge Neon...No Thanks!
Where do you see snowmobiling in 10 years?
I can’t even imagine what will be done on sleds in 10 years but it will be super sick though! I just hope the Greenies don’t destroy it for us in the future.
