How do you spend your free time?
I dig ripping my dirt bike on gnarly single track and techy hill climb stuff!

2009 Arctic Cat M8 with Boondocker turbo, Vohk mods and a host of other cool goodies.
If you could change your sled(s), what would you change?
Lighter, lighter, lighter and lighter!
What are your plans for winter 2009?
I’m excited for 09 with year 2 of Burandt’s Back Country Adventure in full swing and hoping to redeem myself at this year’s Winter X Games.
We know you can ride a sled with the best in the world. Is there anything that you suck at?
Dancing!
What was your favorite part in Slednecks 11?
We all work so hard each year to put a killer segment together and I really liked how mine turned out this year. Also, Brett Turcotte’s part was pretty sick too!
What do you think technology and mechanical innovation is going to change for our sport over the next ten years?
I really think the future holds lighter equipment and hopefully more affordable prices to keep people in the sport.
In the event the nut job radicals got their way, how would you feel about riding an electric snowmobile?
Actually Electric motors have tons of torque. If they can keep them light I wouldn’t care.

What is your favorite toy (other than the sleds)?
My new 09 KX450f. Can you say turbo with a track? Look out trees…here I come.
What’s the hardest part about being a pro snowmobiler?
Trying to make enough money to live they way I want to live. I still wouldn’t trade what I do for anything…Except a NASCAR ride maybe!
What do you spend your money on?
When we started Burandt’s Back Country Adventure we turned our old house into a lodge for the clients to stay. The place is way cool but that means I have 2 mortgages to take care of. Ouch!!!
What makes you happy?
3 feet of Pow!
What pisses you off?
People who try to shut down our riding areas. Get a life!
What are your thoughts on Jagermeister?
Sounds like trouble to me!
Favorite area to ride?
That’s a tough one. CO is my favorite. BC is just insane too! Idaho is awesome, Utah has some killer stuff, Tahoe is ridiculous…do you want me to keep going?
How did you get your start in snowmobiling?
My parents slapped me on a sled when I was six. They couldn’t get me off the things after that. Thanks Mom and Dad!
Who do you look up to?
I look up to Pastrana. The guy has skills and is a good dude to boot!
What is your dream car?
Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Sprint Cup car.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Having a blast running my backcountry tour business with a couple little Slednecks in training.
Where do you see snowmobiling in 10 years?
Deeper snow than ever and lighter sleds than ever!
