If you weren’t a pro rider what would you be?
A Carpenter.
A Carpenter.
How do you spend your free time?
I aint’ got that much free time, but I like to go fishing, hunting, and work on my car. I also try to hang out with my friends and girlfriend as much as possible.
Current sled(s)?
Two Polaris 600r ,one 600 rr, and one 800 mod. I still love the mod.
If you could change your sled(s), what would you change?
I would make everything about them smaller and lighter, more like the size of a dirt bike.
What are your plans for winter 2009?
Go everywhere and beat the $@!# out of everyone.. Haha!
We know you can ride a sled with the best in the world. Is there anything that you suck at?
Oh man.. Really? :P hmmm.. Singstar!
What do you want to see happen this season?
A lot of new backflip combos.
What do you think technology and mechanical innovation is going to change for our sport over the next ten years?
Hopefully lighter sleds and some ridiculous suspension!
In the event the nut job radicals got their way, how would you feel about riding an electric snowmobile?
Hmmm….the sound is half the pleasure. Not sure about that one.
What is your favorite toy (other than the sleds)?
My Car.
What is your favorite non motorized toy?
No engine = no toy.
What is the furthest from home you have ever been?
Aspen, Colorado.
What’s the hardest part about being a pro snowmobiler?
Well… You get really busy during the season. Being my own manager pretty much takes most of my time and also makes it hard to spend enough time with family, friends, work, and my girl. The "Pro" thing takes a lot of energy but it’s really fun.
What do you spend your money on?
Sled, car, apartment, Plane tickets and gas!
What was the craziest thing you did this year on a sled?
I whipped on my super kicker ramp past 90 degrees!
What makes you happy?
Real good food!
What pisses you off?
When something hit’s my head.
What is the best part about being involved with Slednecks?
So far it’s being on the team with the most reputable sledders in the world.
Favorite area to ride?
Riksgrensen.
How did you get your start in snowmobiling?
I’ve always had a sled to ride, but when I was watching Slednecks 2 for the first time, something in my head told me that I really, really wanted to be at that level. I just kept pushing the line year after year.
What trick scares you the most?
Flips.
What is your gnarliest crash story?
I totally over jumped a mobile landing at an indoor show in Finland and guess what… the floor was made of concrete! I needed to jump of at the highest from 30 ft in the air to try to push myself further back! I landed on flat concrete. It was a direct shot to my hip and I broke my femur in two spots. I even feel lucky that’s all that happened.
What is your dream car?
Mustang GT500.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In my garage tuning my new dragster sled.
Where do you see snowmobiling in 10 years?
As the sickest x-sport ever.
Who makes the world’s best burrito?
Can't remember the name of that restaurant….at the Oslo Airport.
Please give us a few words of wisdom…
About sledding…don’t risk your life for it! That’s easy so you can remember it. It’s a smart line to have in your head when you’re out there pushing your limits.
