Back flips, insane cliff drops, and huge air…Sounds like a typical day in the life of Slednecks, right? Then you add futuristic laser guns, droid militants, massive explosions, Vin Diesel, and a Hollywood production crew. This makes for more of an atypical day.
As you may have heard the Slednecks backed X Games gold medalist,
Chris Burandt and world record jump artist
Paul Thacker were over in Sweden as Vin Diesel’s stunt riders. They have been working for the past three weeks with a huge Hollywood film crew performing for a 2008 film titled
Babylon AD.
It all started a few months back with a phone call to Slednecks headquarters from
Babylon AD stunt coordinator and legendary stunt man,
Bob Brown. Bob told us what he needed and was stoked to learn that he called the right place on the first try, he and Vin are huge Slednecks fans. We spent a few weeks after that lining up the equipment and location, then executed. We air freighted our 4 Polaris race sleds, Paul, Chris, and our safety coordinator Pro Joe Duncan off to do what they do best. After a quick three weeks in Sweden, under the expert coordination of Bob and Joe Epstein, the crew was successful at finishing the work at hand. Mission accomplished!
Next up for Burandt and Thacker will be the Monster Energy/Slednecks Invasion tour later this year. For more details stay tuned right here at Slednecks.com as well as MonsterEnergy.com
